This is a female black bear, seen munching on leaves along with at least one cub on Alta Lake Road, Whistler, BC- July 27th, 2007.

Nice shots. What about the cub? Was she eating the shrubs (Looks like young willow leaves) or the white flowers below shrubs? At least they look like white flowers (white baneberry?).
